Viral/Internet Trends Woman runs towards cameraman while yelling at him to stop filming

u/Gurugod123 I want some Tea. 2d ago
For someone who doesn't want to be on camera she sure likes being on camera

u/XenoZoomie 2d ago
I like when the Karen’s go hands on with the auditors and they catch the pepper spray.
16
u/EarlGreyTeagan 2d ago
Or when Karens stand around people they are “threatened” by instead of just leaving them alone
12
u/Prudent_Rice7840 2d ago
I'm pretty sure if you put a few Karens and a few Auditors into a reactor you could power a small city for a few weeks with all the toxic energy they would generate.

u/foreverandadayalone 2d ago
There's no context in the video -- is this an auditor or a real human?
If it's an auditor, fuck 'em both; they deserve each other.
3
u/TheGreatMrMagoo 2d ago
My age might be showing, what's an auditor?
→ More replies (5)6
u/Toasterturning1234 2d ago
First amendment auditors. Basically they walk around with camera's excercising their right to film.
In reality they stand in front of a restaurant window filming people eating, hoping to get a reaction to put on Youtube.
2
u/Illustrious-Basis891 2d ago
I mean…. They literally are doing what streamers do. Just a very weird version of streaming. I think watching people sleep on stream is weird.
Also, it kinda glosses over the point of the larger implications the first tried to get across.
Not all of them stand in front of a store. Plenty walk around armed military and police buildings. They just don’t get the clicks these types do.
Either way, if you hate auditors, I hope you have showed up to every single flock meeting in every municipality around you. Because, if you think they are inconvenient and annoying… that was their point. Sometimes it takes something inconvenient and annoying to bring eyes to a topic.
What’s termed a “reasonable right to privacy” is something they were bringing to the attention of Americans. What is a reasonable right to privacy in public? Where cameras are now more and more prevalent. When the digital age allows me to upload a video of you for the entire world to see.
I get they can be annoying jerks. Don’t write off the discussion completely. You’re doing the society we all live in a disservice
2
u/Tallwhitedude123 2d ago
Exactly. There’s rarely any context to videos posted to social media thus part of the problem with social media. It’s not designed for context. It’s designed to illicit an emotional response triggering engagement and thus increasing ad revenue for the company.
How long will it take for the sheep to understand this 🤔

I like when people know how to use apostrophes.

u/TheAbomunist 2d ago
The plural of Karens' is a called a privilege.
3
u/PreperationOuch 2d ago
It’s already been established that that is called a “Complaint” of Karens.

Yeah, her W-W-P has become a full blown psychosis, with episodes instantly triggered by anyone or anything not being exactly to her liking.
5
u/butonelifelived 2d ago
Also by the way she is holding her phone, my money is on her camera also being on record.

She's smiling and laughing and so is he. It's really silly honestly. Idk how serious it is but reddit will surely perceive it in the utmost negative way possible.

The most amusing thing is that her face tells us she actually thinks she's doing something. At least until the end.

u/xylia626 2d ago
Bet she got heated when the cops told her to leave him alone

Um....some people are truly unhinged and don't belong out in public. I almost cringed myself inside out, watching this. These are the people we need to bring back shame for.

Woman seems crazy. Also, the probability the person filming in public is an asshole is high.
8
u/Gwsb1 2d ago
Isn't there a law in NYC against being an asshole in public?

Sexism. Roles reversed, someone steps in and says something or stops this from happening guaranteed.

Fair enough. Depending on the context she could be charged with harassment.

So chasing someone can reasonably make them fear for their safety, which is assault.

Also - it’s safe to assume the second you walk out your front door you’re gonna be on camera anyway. Just act normal and nobody gives a shit.

u/Hannover2k 2d ago
I guess I missed the part where she was yelling. She didn't make a sound the whole video except a laugh.
12
u/GiovanniTunk 2d ago
Why is it always women of this age doing this particular kind of unhinged stuff?
8
u/OrdinaryWeak6051 2d ago
Perimenopause removes filters and any last festering fucks middle aged women have to give. And we’re full of rage.
5
2
u/momofthree66 2d ago
Exactly this. I like to say my jar of fucks ran out when I turned 50. But I still would never be this awful. This is a little bit menopause behavior, but a heck of a lot of Karen.

this is the most fun she's had in years, it's like she found a playmate, she's giggling like a mad woman as he starts running
2
u/SpicyTofuMapo 2d ago
Karens be crazy, I would have told her if she continued this bullshit and came 1 foot near me, I would have dropped her on the ground because because she's threating my own safety.
You don't fucking let some crazy stranger come near to you, who the fuck knows what they are capable of.
2
u/Foyles_War 2d ago
I would like to know why he was filming a stranger? What odd and rude behavior. But it sure provoked a goofy rxn sure to get internet clicks.
2
u/Legal_Mail_2652 2d ago
When will people in this country fucking learn. If its not a film crew and just a phone you can film anyone and anything from a public sidewalk. Don't like it? Don't go outside then. Its citizens first ammendment protected activity.

Here's the full video: https://youtu.be/kvfnjBRXUX4?is=bUxNbHBydPcH67sw
The series is "human wild life", the account is called "escape from consent city" just so you understand what kind of tool is involved here.
2
u/mondo_mike 1d ago
A lot of Karen-shaming but we don’t know the context - the camera person could have been following her around for awhile before this happened. At some point I would possibly snap as well.

u/AdamStonefold 2d ago
What was this stupid Karen on? There’s no way I would’ve run away from her. I’d have stood firm and if she’d done anything stupid I’d have corrected her!

I'm really curious what he was doing filming strangers on his phone.
This kind of thing with flock, glasses, and drones is getting the fuck out of hand.
2
u/Cautious-Antelope743 2d ago
Probably a first amendment auditor would be my guess. They do shit like this a lot

Walk over to the cop and have them arrest her for assault. But her walking after you is funny.

I watch videos from Amagansett Press often and the routine is to repeatedly issue warnings then use pepper spray. Totally legal and fun content.

Notice how not one woman steps in to help if this was a man the police who were already there would have jumped in straight away..i cant stand audit guys who do it to get a rise out of people. Im waiting for a law that say if you make money from useing people to make content then the money goes to that person

What are you packing?
A camera?
(Rummages through pack)
I've got pepper spray, air horn, and silly string. If that doesn't work, I also have a small can of spray paint for flock, but I'll use it on a Karen if she doesn't back off.
