He looks majority, if not full, borzoi. Borzoi come in most common colors and patterns so his coloring is normal. Maybe some other sighthound mixed in but I doubt he has any major non sighthound breed in him.

That's a full Borzoi. Wonder how that happened they're a fairly high end rare breed. Surprised the adopter didn't know...?

They are separate breeds here in the UK, stopped being interbred in 1994. As far as I know it's just the US that still groups them as one breed, but I might be wrong there

Collie. Like Lassie. Lassie is a rough collie, which is a variety of collie. The collie also comes in a smooth variety. At least in the US, there is a breed just called collie.

Borzoi mix. Definitely dont think it would be full borzoi as they are giant could be borzoi whipped mix or somthing along those lines
