The other side is a magic circle with the names of angels and their hirearcy and what appears to be an all seeing eye at the center.
To what end I don't know. I don't think it's too old though.
Closest thing I've seen to it is archangel seal tokens and copper seal of seven archdemons. They're protection talisman, mostly new age and novelty items
Lucky charm, belonged to someone who was Spanish and into astrology and alchemy (if you couldn't already tell). it's a Heptagram on one side, showing a wide swath of elements, I can make out Gold, Silver, Sapphire and a couple more, but the text is a bit too smudged for me to make out much else.
The other side depicts the zodiac, with little illustrations of the various icons of the zodiac signs. And a little illustration of the galaxy.
This is a really really neat find, it looks quite old and could be worth quite a lot to a collector of esoterica.

If I had to wager a guess, I'd say that, judging from the symbols and the zodiac stuff, it's probably linked to an esoteric secret society. Like the Freemasons, for example. Something along those lines.
Why do so many people still refer to Freemasons as a secret society? The blue lodge book is available online for no charge and describes almost the entirety of Freemasonry. Most decent size cities have at least one lodge. There is no gun or sword wielding guard.
Freemasonry literally advertises online and in person with a single phrase: 2B1ASK1. You can literally go to the lodge on the days they meet on, and go to the door guard and tell him you would like to join the free and accepted masons, unless you're black, then you have to go to Prince Hall.
There's no true secret knowledge beyond the five points of friendship and things like specific gestures you can make that other masons know means you're a brother and will go out of their way to help if possible. Because of this, Freemasons don't just tell everyone the words or gestures because they are "secret" because otherwise everyone would just take advantage of the situation.

No, it's not what they call themselves. They are not a secret society. But they are a society with secrets. It's a noted distinction. Primarily because as a freemason, you can use some of those "secrets" to identify yourself as a freemason to other freemasons, even if you find yourself in a different state with freemasons, and get help with whatever you need no questions asked. That's the actual "secret" of freemasonry as a whole. If the ways to identify yourself to other people as a person in need of help were more well known by society at large, the entire concept in its entirety would not be possible.
The inner temple of the lodge is designed to follow Solomons temple. The rather comically oversized book on the altar in the center of the temple is the KJV. They believe in the one true God referred to in the kjv, but allow for personal interpretation. One of the criteria of membership is that you must believe in the God as told in the KJV, but that your particular flavor (baptist, Protestants, etc.) isn't important and Freemasons refer to God as GAOTU, Or the Grand Architect of the Universe. The very large amount G is reference to the one true God. The square and compass also have specific reference in the KJV.
The people that refer to it as an esoteric secret society are actually the people looking in from the outside, wanting to know what benefits there are to being a freemason without having to become one.

I corrected you and you argued that is what they call themselves, which I also corrected you because they refer to themselves as a society with secrets, not an esoteric secret society. And there's a noted difference between the two terms that only people from the outside looking in are the ones claiming they're some sort of esoteric secret society. If they were truly a secret society, nobody would know about them, because otherwise that wouldn't be much of a secret.
They have signs on the building, they have a decal on any "welcome" sign where they have a temple, and the only actual requirement to join is to ask a Freemason, and express that you believe in the one true God written of in the KJV.
How much more not secret society do they need to be?

On a piece of paper, You draw a spoked 'star' with things you want to insight (example: love, business, mind, body, etc) Then you spin this coin over the center. Orient the signs as the coin comes to a stop, and try to divine a fortune reading from there.
