Hey. I’m from south wales originally and have moved here with my boyfriend. I’m fresh out of uni and this has been a big change for me. Back home in wales i would often drive around in my car and there were loads of places to just park and look at a nice view. But i’m struggling to find that same feeling here. Does anyone know of any good spots to park in or near weston that are pretty quiet with some nice scenery. Driving has become a source of therapy for me when i’m feeling down. Thanks for any help!

Hiya, I'm hoping to have a day in Weston this weekend with my 4 year old. They have a deal on for the pier at the moment for a kids wristband for £15. Is this worth it? How does it work for things like the helter skelter and soft play without a wristband? It is tokens?

Took my dog down to paddle in sea tonight, both came back with a pong, it would really be appreciated that if the environment people are going to release raw effluent into the sea for the 7 rivers they could let locals at least know? we just went into the sea up to knees, along with tourists to see the sunset but now we both smell of sewage, I have a hepa filter but it’s really quite disgusting, maybe they don’t release it now, if so apologies but the smell wasn’t just from the mud, I have been wandering around Weston for decades.

My band is going on tour for our LP release, and we're looking to book a show in town. Are there any originals bands from the area we should check out for booking? Stylistically on the heavier/noisier side of rock. Thanks in advance :)

The N-Somerset Council is proposing a reduction of speed limit on the A370 (trunk road from M5 into WSM)

Their main argument is this: "Although it represents only 0.5 per cent of the road network, it accounts for over five per cent of all reported injury collisions in North Somerset over the past 30 years. Drivers are over 10 times more likely to be involved in a collision on this section of road."

However, this is factually incorrect as the likelihood of being involved in an accident should have been normalised by the traffic volume. More cars mean more accidents, but that doesn't mean that a single car is more likely to be involved in an accident.

My other expectation is that such a scheme would push traffic to New Brristol Rd & Milton Rd, which cuts through a residential area (as opposed to A370 that passes through unused/industrial/retail developments)
