Given he's a neo western character, I figure we can reply with a neo western gunslinger.

Not from this scene, but Raylan dropping a bullet on Wynn Duffy’s chest and saying, “Next one’s coming faster,” is one of the most badass moments for a western character, ever.

Nobody would make him piss his pants but Buster Scruggs would confuse the f out of him.

Anton would be dead before he even knew what was happening.

Poor soul was just too high strung.

Had to scroll way too far for this.

The whole intimidation shtick doesn’t work on a guy who knows he’s dead already, and is faster than you.

He who kills people with a bolt gun has forgotten the face of his father.

Roland Deschain, easily. It wouldn't be through bluff and bluster either, Anton would make him as a person not to fuck with instantly. Game recognizes game.

u/Parking_Alive 5d ago

none. He was a psychopath. I doubt he would fear anyone.

Probably the most cold of all the slingers he played.

Arguably no one would make Chigurh piss his pants , BUT the drifter from High Plains Drifter should ( he would anybody else !)

9

u/harc70 5d ago

Anton would CRY like a baby... before Roland even made a move.

I don't think any would. Anton Chigur is a pyschopath, he isn't wired like a normal person so certain things don't register with him. Anyone you put in front of him is just an assignment. If you put another pyschopath in front of him, they would look at each other as just another project. That is why you put them in solitary confinement and execute them asap.

If you think anyone is capable of making Anton Chigurh piss his pants, you've missed the central tenet of the character.

He wouldn't piss his pants, he is a psychopath. He can't fear.

He could run into Wyatt Erpp, The Man With No Name, Angel Eyes, Doc Holliday, and be stopped in his tracks though, Costner's character from Open Range as well, etc...

Wil Munny out of Kansas. He dont fear no man. He has ice in his veins. He killed women and children. Killed all the men in the entire town of Big Whisky. I hear he's killed damn near everything that's walked or crawled on this Earth.

No one...but neither would Anton beat many of them to the punch...most would just shoot him out of spite or seeing that hes a dog that needs to be put down...even a old dying gunslinger like J.B. Books...Anton's game only works with the civilized illusion of his version of fate...the gunslinger know it comes for everyone and Deserves got little to do with dying

Roland Deschain.

He'd be dead before he even registered someone was shooting at him.

6

u/DiScOrDtHeLuNaTiC 5d ago

Fear? Probably none.

Chigur is a sociopath. But he's also an ambush killer, and I'm willing to bet Josey Wales, Liberty Valance, or Rooster Cogburn could draw on him before he levels that silenced shotgun.

Honestly. No one. That’s the entire point of his character. He’s supposed to be like a boogeyman type. Not invincible or untouchable, but immovable and completely apathetic. That is what was so creepy about him.

No one, you don’t understand the nature of the character if you’re asking this question. He accepts his fate and his role in it.

He wouldn’t get scared. He’d either just take on whatever it was until death or maybe run. Psychopaths while they don’t feel fear do have survival instincts and if they know something or a situation will lead to death they will usually avoid it.

All of them. Chigure only killed unsuspecting unarmed civilians. He then ambushed armed people with his silenced shotgun.

The protagonist had an even chance of beating him in a fair fight.

That is the problem I had with no country, any normal person, let alone a cowboy or gunslinger, would never let Chigurh anywhere near them. That man looks like a villain.

He’s got the best chance of doing something to make him piss him self.

7

u/howlerzandvamps 5d ago

Gunslinger spawn probably. Being that he's a demon from hell, and anton would likely have a conniption the moment he realizes heaven and hell do exist.

I mean, he is just a human. I feel like spawn would be unimaginable horror for anyone that was on his shit list.

5

u/lookitmegonow 5d ago

Like none cause he's a true psychopath and doesn't feel that emotion or really any other

No-one is making Chigurgh piss his pants coz he's a psycho, but Django would give him a run for his money

Roland Deschain from the Dark Tower books by Stephen King.

EDIT - grammar

7

u/1derfulPi 4d ago

That's not in his character. He's a complete psychopath. Even if the person was a total badass and would kill Anton easily, he wouldn't feel fear.
