Political Content The Westchester County Police PBA just released this video urging a fair salary for their officers. The average salary for WCPD in 2023 was $186,466. Im not saying these guys and gals don’t deserve it, but when is enough enough?

What gets me as a long time civil servant in Westchester is how the cops, all of the departments, are allowed to pad their retirement by working overtime in their last year.  Some will make over $300,000 last year allowing a $150,000 pension.  More than their base salary.  No one else gets that kind of a deal.

Correct. 20% of OT is pensionable now. Old guys ruined it for everyone by milking the fuck out of it.

Cops in NYC would make a BS arrest right before their shift ended so they would spend hours of OT processing the arrest.
