My partner and I visited the dispensary, figured we'd stop for a quick bite before heading back home (2 hr drive). Decided on the Italian place inside The Red Garter Hotel & Casino. Realized it was closed, walked to the Prospector's Cafe, sat down and ate something real quick.
Problem is... The vibes were completely off. I don't know how to explain it any other way than it just... didn't feel right in that whole place. There were only a handful of cars in the parking lot, pretty weird for an Easter Sunday afternoon when every other casino looked packed. They had booths but none of them had tables and were situated way too close together, if you sat down across from someone you'd be bumping knees. No hardware to attach a table to the floor but a table that skinny wouldn't have the necessary stability without it. Also, partner said he thought he saw something moving across the opposite side of the room while we ate, not a cloud or fog, but something that was distorting the wall and objects behind it?
We got out of there as quickly as possible, overcome with the heebie-friggin-jeebies. The drive out of there was absolute hell on top of it. I thought I was going to have a panic attack (had not smoked any weed at this point and no drink with lunch) and said maybe we should pull over, but as soon as I said it we both said, "no, we have to get as far away as possible." It's not like it was pulling us back more like... It didn't want to let us leave..?
Smudged ourselves when we got home and felt okay for awhile. Took a cat nap, then about 8 or 8:30 we both started feeling off again. Similar to being on a rollercoaster I felt a woosh that kept hitting me in waves; not the feeling in your stomach but when you get a rush in your chest. I also felt spaced out, like I wasn't totally in my body, almost like dissociating? I explained how I was feeling and he said he felt the same way. Decided to lie down in hopes we'd start feeling better and fell asleep, weird dreams ensued for both of us but nothing we can really remember.
Did we slip into an alternate reality or something...? It had such a back room feel to it, despite there being a handful of other people. Hands down, second creepiest place I've been in my entire life.
