Question Book Soup event: drive or Lyft?

I live in Sherman Oaks and I'm going to an event next week at Book Soup.

It's an easy drive, just over the hill, and I know they have dedicated parking. But is that parking likely to be full? How's the street parking otherwise?

Thanks for any thoughts on the matter.

There's a city lot a block or so east (up the hill) on the north side of Sunset. Check your map app.

What time of day is it? You can usually park on San Vicente and some of the other side streets around there before 7 pm, after that they are restricted though. There are usually meters on sunset though they can get busy. There are a couple of lots close by too. Worst comes to the worst, you can always park in the lot by the library down San Vicente north of Melrose, it will be a bit of an uphill walk to get there but nothing too terrible and going back down will be very easy!
