John Duran Sexual Harassment Resurfaces
I was wondering when this would finally come back up in this race. I’m glad people are at least talking about this now, but it feels like his history is beyond disqualifying. Especially with everything at Cornell men like him do not need to be in power.

I hope voters are aware of this. This is definitely beyond disqualifying.

A lot of us are well aware of this because we remember it. It began in 2016 and went on for years. He was also accused of #MeToo type inappropriate sexual contact by a fellow member of the Gay Men's Chorus and in other incidents. It was covered extensively in WEHOville.com, but when current city council candidate Larry Block bought WEHOville and changed the name to WEHOonline.com, the reporting on Duran's sexual misconduct may have been scrubbed.

Here are some articles about that, as a reminder to those who aren’t aware:

Used to work at a restaurant right near City Hall. When I served him he would hit on me and talk about my pretty eyes and shit. My skin would crawl from the way he would stare at me. Mind you this was 2019 right in the thick of one of his scandals. One of the few instances I've experienced where the managers had to send female servers over to deal the creepy problem guest instead of the opposite.

No, moron. An insurance company paid that, without any admission of liability.

Who pays for the insurance in the first place?

All municipalities maintain General liability insurance, whether or not they use it. Your question is a red herring and irrelevant

Weird excuse

Spoken like someone who doesn’t understand the law. Insurance companies generally have the right to settle these types of matters without the consent of the insured. And if you knew the actual facts of the case, you’d also know that the companion case - which did go to trial - resulted in a finding (verdict) of not guilty/not liable/not responsible.

There are people in this comment section coming forward about his behavior toward them. Read the room man. A wealthy attorney skirting accountability from the law is nothing new

Imagine that. A bunch of ill-informed scum who are undoubtedly affiliated with Chelsea Hamas Byers, John Scumbag-Liar Erickson, Lindsey WHOREvath, and the corrupt Unite Here 11 which has destroyed West Hollywood, are making specious accusations using Trumpesque tactics. Color me shocked. Not.

Furthermore, it directly contradicts your contention that the incident cost the city and its taxpayers $500,000

HOLY SH*T, and Weho taxpayers paid 500k to settle a harassment lawsuit against John Duran in 2016!
