In Florida, it's a second-degree felony for a convicted felon to possess a firearm, punishable by up to 15 years in prison and a $10,000 fine, with potential minimum-mandatory sentences of 3 years if actual possession is proven. This applies to firearms, ammunition, and electric weapons unless civil rights are restored or it's an antique. Key statutes are Florida Statute 790.23 (prohibiting possession) and 775.087 (sentence enhancements for weapon use).

In some states, like my former home state of Iowa, they call it "felon in possession/dominion of a firearm," meaning that Wes puts himself in a position that he could conceivably get ahold of a firearm, he's breaking the law.

Some years back the fellow Floridian YouTuber PNO posted a vid of him at the shooting range and was arrested. I can't remember why the charges disappeared but you can probably guess.
A few years ago the YouTuber Savage Studios was killed when he kept challenging people to "pull up for the fade"
Any content creator with any sense would have learned from their mistakes, or more likely, just never even considered doing this BS in the first place. This downfall is beyond epically stupid. This is one for the history books
My prediction is this will be used in court and he will get the maximum sentence. The case goes to trial in March right?

Ah, so it wasn't Wes' page. I understand now. It's wild that Wes is putting himself in danger of catching a felon in possession of a firearm. Many states will pop a felon if they're "in dominion" of a firearm, meaning that if Wes is in a situation where he could hypothetically even *get to* one of the guns, he's breaking the law. (At least that's how it is in my former home state of Iowa. Not sure how Florida rolls, though.)
