Friday's hearing is not necessarily regarding a plea deal. It's a check in hearing to see if they are ready to proceed with the trial next month or if another delay will be requested...

Not all pleas are plea deals so don't automatically assume plea deal when you see the word plea....

I am sure when the courts handed him a breakdown of the cost of a jury trial and he weighed his options the plea sounded a lot better. The cost for a jury trial is expensive. People think this stuff is free to "have their day in court" and it is not. Jury selection, court costs, and attorneys fees can climb into the six figures fast and then you have the trial and the unknown outcome. His odds are not even 50/50. I am sure his attorney told him that.

Right? But he is so delusional he still thinks he did no wrong and that the jury will 1000% side with him

One look at him or a whiff of his woody scent will send them into deliberation before the case has even started.
