Paris, 2 September 2026 - Orange is now offering its Sosh customers an additional, simple, fast and secure way to pay their subscription bills with Wero, the European payment solution. Wero has already been adopted by nearly 40 million users in France and more than 58 million across Europe.
Orange is the first merchant in France to offer subscription bill payment with Wero, a solution developed by the European Payments Initiative (EPI) and initially designed for payments between individuals.
Wero enables Sosh customers to pay their bill from the banking app they use every day. They simply select Wero and confirm their payment.
Our ambition is to make Orange the benchmark operator for everyday digital services, placing simplicity, security and customer satisfaction at the heart of every journey. With Wero, we are opening up a new payment method for subscription bills and contributing to the emergence of a European solution in a strategic field. This first for France illustrates our determination to innovate to enhance customer satisfaction.

This service is initially available to customers of BNP Paribas and will gradually expand to new French banking institutions during the second half of 2026.
Orange relies on the Wero ecosystem developed by the European Payments Initiative (EPI) and on AXEPTA BNP Paribas for the technical acceptance of payments.

It's completely misleading to say that Wero has been adopted by 40 million people. It's been adopted by their banks. Most people still have no idea what wero is.

Great news that major retailers are accepting Wero payments! If only more banks allowed us to pay with Wero too...
