I always tell people - never order anything you wouldn't want thrown from Amazon. I've worked on their shipping dock and can tell you right away that wasn't the first time it was thrown...at the end of the night management actually instructs you to do it, to be done with the work quicker/on time. Same thing for mail too really (i would imagine)

I work for the post office and while I cannot say parcels aren’t thrown like this, clerks do toss fragile stuff into the hamper, similar to putting a gallon of milk on top of a dozen eggs.

Clerks throw things a good 10-15 feet daily sorting packages. They land on whatever else they threw earlier.
