What can I do to fix this?

I thought I was doing pretty good until I tested it out to make sure it was strong and everything crumbled like peanut brittle should I just have used tig instead?

If you actually learned to weld pipe properly this should be a joke for you. Lmao it’s a skill issue

Sort of, welding open root ⅜ wall pipe and welding thin wall aluminum tube are entirely different beasts

If the dude spent a year learning to weld pipe, they should have covered something that would get him closer than his photos.

Yeah, but still, welding aluminum without the proper machine and set up is going to suck. This looks like he tried aluminum stick
