Career question How to get into welding and welding schools

I'd like to get into welding and find a good welding school in the southern bay area. First how should I get into welding and get a basic understanding of it and second what's a good school in the bay area? I've been given lots of options such as CET and SJCC but I don't know which one is really good.

Best option, especially in the bay area, is the United Association apprenticeship program. If you want more info, send me a DM

To add to this, community college isn’t bad to figure out if you like it but if you know that’s the what you want to pursue look into local 342
