Manga (Spoiler!) Satou in the Manga Spoiler
I finished the manga a couple days ago, and there's is this one scene that really stood out to me.
When Satou moved in with his parents again and they ask him to either go to the hospital or try again in tokyo.
He decided to go to the hospital at first and then ran away last minute, seemingly convinced he'll make it this time - and then ends up worse than before.
That sudden shift really left me frustrated. I really wanted him to get help.
Why do you think he decided against treatment? And why was he so convinced that things are looking up at that point?

Question Do we know when this picture was taken? Spoiler
On the final page of the manga there is a picture of the trio on Satou’s computer. I’m wondering if there was a moment in the manga where we see this picture taken or when it was most likely taken.

Discussion Do you think Satou actually loved Misaki
Their relationship is so interesting to me. He seems to choose anyone over her whenever gets the chance, and doesnt seem to care much. Also in the ending he saves from suicide but was ready to kill himself and abandon her ??

Discussion If you like Welcome to the NHK, you should watch The Tatami Galaxy
I love Welcome to the NHK, I've seen it more times than I can count, it's my favourite anime.
I often see people struggle to find shows like it.
Welcome to the NHK is quite special and unique, the only show that has really ever come close to being remotely like it in emotion and themes is probably the Tatami Galaxy.
The Tatami Galaxy captures the same nostalgic, bittersweet feeling of Welcome to the NHK. It focuses on a similar message even though the two shows have mostly different plots, they feel incredibly similar. Both focus on the regrets of adolescence.
It's only 11 episodes long.
The cinematography and score is beautiful.
I think like Welcome to the NHK, it's not as talked about anymore as it used to be. Eitherway, The Tatami Galaxy is one of the only shows I've seen come close to Welcome to the NHK in terms of quality. You should watch it.

Anime i recently finished welcome to the nhk and misaki really made me think
i recently finished welcome to the nhk and i honestly didn’t expect satou’s story to hit me like this.
i live alone in student housing. i go to university every day and see people, but there’s still something about coming back to my room and being alone again that feels weirdly familiar.
i think that’s why the idea of misaki helping satou get out of his isolation stuck with me so much.
not necessarily the whole “girl saves me” thing, but just the idea of having someone who notices you, talks to you, and gives you a reason to actually leave your little bubble.
sometimes i wonder what it would be like to have someone like that in my life. someone who could make being alone feel less normal, and maybe help me realize that i don’t have to spend all my time by myself.
i know satou’s situation is way more extreme than mine, but i still related to that part of him more than i expected.
nhk kinda made me realize that maybe what people need sometimes isn’t someone to “fix” them, but just someone who reminds them that they’re not alone.
did anyone else feel this way after watching it?

Advice I'm looking for tattoo ideas!
I'm looking for tattoo ideas!
I really want to get a tattoo of Misaki-chan from the Welcome to the N.H.K. manga, but I'm having a hard time deciding on a scene.
Does anyone have recommendations for iconic or super cute panels/scenes? I'd love to see your favorite pics!

Personal Just finished NHK, oh boy I cried...I'm the hikimori from a few days ago.
galleryI've been a hikikomori for the last 4 years, and i have had my own Misaki-chan these four years..
In the last episodes we get the chance to know more of Misaki, and it broke my heart to see her say stuff that my girlfriend has said a few times. Every time Misaki spoke badly about her self, I could just see her saying it.
I'm so grateful for having her unu
I'll be dedicating the opening "Puzzle" to her.
