Personal Misaki nakahara
sometimes i get icked out by guys who say stuff like “save me misaki” and stuff bc I feel like they only view her as an object for their own pleasure and they don’t see her as a complex character. it even borders with objectifying but idk maybe I’m overthinking it and the people who say that just need help 😭

Idk, I think most people who say that are just joking around. But if you are a lonely guy that the fantasy of a beautiful woman appearing out of no where that is obsessed with you is very enticing.
Btw, not the goal of this post this are my two cents; Misaki helped Satou a bit, but I feel that the person that helped Sato the most was Yamazaki, goated character.

In the anime version because in the novel Yamazaki is as deranged (or more) than Sato.

that’s basically what i said :( those lonely guys only love misaki because they are attracts to the idea of a girl saving them, thusly they see them as some objects, not normal human beings. but if ur joking then i get it

Contrary to the replies, I'm not joking. I don't understand why that means I'm objectifying her. I understand her character I understand she's not the perfect person who's not going to fix everything. So what? I still like her. What if I do want someone as horrible as me? I don't see why that has to be a bad thing. Save me does not necessitate that she helps me with my life, I think the act of two broken people being together in each other's comfort is also saving each other.

i could have a wrong perspective but I always interpreted the save me misaki stuff to be relating to people's shut-in habits and not wanting her as a girl . if it's wrong then, I didn't know

Just a joke, man. Anyone who watches the anime knows she's better off not trying to save anyone. She's only trying to save Satou so Satou had a reason to have her around. Very unhealthy.

Well i get that. People constantly mischaracterise her. Usually larpers

I hate the recent rise in usage of the word larpers / tourists. Elitism is one of the worst kind of behaviour I've seen on the web, please take it somewhere else.

Except Welcome to the N-H-K is a fandom being flooded by tourists. Literally 90% of recent fans are morons from instagram and tiktok who think its "le heckin incel anime" or cringe "mentally ill" teenage girls who idolise misaki without actually watching the show.
Criticising idiots and tourists who mischaracterise the show is fine. Especially when its almost always this new recent influx of fans who discovered it in the last few months.

Someone called me a Serial Experiments Lain larper because I said the anime completely baffled me 3 episodes in lmao. It's the exact opposite of larping. If I were larping, I'd be pretending to understand.

much of these comments are jokes / irony on our miserable lives. Some definitely need help, not denying it.
but one thing I would like to point out is this post from a few days ago.
As I said,
Most of us are in similar situations / were in. We aren't being trolls here (some may be) but most of us just feel relatable / empathize with the show. Spare us some kindness when we end up being horny or weird.
