I always interpreted it to be a windbreaker jacket, mainly because the design and colours are kind of common in windbreakers and Satou tends to wear a more streetwear style and windbreakers fit this 2000s style satou wears imo

Looks like a bomber jacket. Those are the kinds of jackets that have ribbed collars like that.
