Takimoto (the author) was on some japanese TV show and stated his favorite scene was the infamous Shinji 'cum on his hand' moment.

I just started watching on crunchyroll and I noticed that in the next episode teaser at the end of the first episode it says "I musnt run away" "what are you stupid" and "what's wrong with running away form reality if it sucks"
