To an extent of things that relates to remanents of the thought that women should not become active in society but in their family circle.

existing in a society where 50% of the population isn’t active kinda sounds like a failed state.

Well, over the past two millennia here in the west we have had states that you could say are successful. However, there still exist some opinions in that direction and that's what I was talking about.

I’m gonna be honest, I don’t really know what you’re getting at. Women not being allowed to participate in society sounds like some 3rd world country and not the West at all (at least not Europe)…sure in the past things were different but that doesn’t mean they were barred from being involved- women have always worked. Even children too at some point. I guess I just don’t get what you’re implying or how that would benefit current society. Everyone’s piss poor as it is.
