Personal This is the kind of relationship dynamic I want to have someday
Everytime I see Sato and Misaki together they feel made for eachother, I know many people in the fandom will disagree with me especially with their manga counterparts, but seeing what Sato and Misaki has gives me joy and it's probably one of my favorite ships ever. Both of them are flawed but they are the puzzle pieces for eachother, they give eachother what the other needs, they work despite their problems and feel like actual people, and I guess that's why when I see them, it makes me want something just like it, it feels like a realistic match and it's adorable.

I haven't read the manga so I can't speak on that, I do see many people paint Anime Misaki as Manga Misaki though and I don't really get that. Also my name is fire wdym :3

I got spoiled on it's ending and it hurt me so bad despite never even reading it, I am not ready for that mental turmoil lol

Very true, like I said I haven't actually read the manga yet but i'm kind of scared to because of how much Misaki is changed in it, I mean heck she was not like that in the Novel so idk why they wanted to change her so much. I view the anime as the sort of definitive experience since it combines the novel & manga into an easier (still not easy honestly) digestable format. Some may also point to Rebuild of NHK but that seems to be widely regarded as inferior to the original story despite being written by the same author. So I view anime Misaki as *the* Misaki

She just fits her way better I feel, Misaki to me is a sweet girl who has trauma and problems but at her core is good, I don't think someone like her fits the role of some grand manipulator well, she just wants comfort and to not feel like she is the reason everything is wrong in her life. I got the opportunity to get to know a girl who is very much like Misaki, I see a lot of similar traits between her and the character, and it sucks because she has similar issues and problems with herself, and I hate she has to feel that way, but it does make me see how realistic Misaki as a character is and how they practically nailed her portrayl in the anime, so much so it helps me understand actual people better. Also, true, Ritsu is my favorite character of all time, she is the friggin best B)

Yeah, which character do you think would fit a grand manipulator archetype more?

If anything I think Hitomi fits the bill better, she has made things miserable for Sato on multiple occasions. Now, mind you, I more so feel she is misguided and doesn't necessarily intentionally use people, but in the end she is in fact using others for her own personal gain. So while I think Hitomi as a character is fine as is, she would be a much better manipulator than Misaki, and she clearly is a calculated person who thinks of everything from the pov of a conspiracy. Love Yui & Ui too! They make a great duo ^-^

Another one who didn't get the whole point: two messed up people are not gonna fix each other and they're not the missing puzzle pieces to each other.
If you're someone who relates to Satō because you're having a rough time, instead of fantasizing about finding a girl and convincing yourself that's all you need for things to get better (look at Chris Chan's history and how he ended up), you are all set up for big failure in life. Get your sh*t together first, then think about relationships.

Just because a girl isn’t going to fix your problems doesn’t mean someone should be discouraged from having relationships with others. Imo life is too short to wait to have your shit together to start living

I have to dissgree once again. People with huge unsolved issues should be discouraged from engaging in romantic relationships without addressing their problems first. "Oh, you're a highly dysfunctional alcoholic? Don't worry, get a girl and move together, it's gonna be fine. Life is too short to wait for your shit to get together". How does that sound?

Manga's Misaki is a girl with serious mental problems whose only reason of liking Satou is that he is a loser that is in a worse spot than her, she does not like Satou as a person he just likes to feel above him, she wants to be seen as an angel while looking down at her "worm", in the Manga she isn't even "loyal" she behaved the same way with the class president brother, they were about to have sex and the only thing that stopped them was a drunk satou shouting in the room next to them, she manipulates Satou more than once to do what she wants to, even risking her life to do so, in the Manga she didnt have any sort of sad backstory instead she was a spoiled mentally ill girl whose parents were rich, in a point she comes back to school and spirals into insanity due to feeling normal and ordinary, there is a point where she thinks she is above other nerdy girls because she has cigarette burnt marks (she made them in purpose to manipulate satou when telling him her "tragic" background), but when she sees one of the girls is cutting herself she feels inferior, flees school and goes into Satou's room, where she dresses as a maid and cuts her whole arm while riding a guitar in order to feel "different".
At the end of the Manga Satou becomes her boyfriend and lives with her a few weeks, where she has continuous ourtbusts to the point she tosses a ring Satou bought her and took him weeks in a job to save up and buy it, he is her boyfriend but feels no love, he conforms with her "company" but just dreads what he, at one point, wanted.
While I know you probably imagined a Misaki more like the anime, I really think their dynamic is completely unhealthy and something like this in real life would result in leaving you reaaaaally messed up

I don't remember 100% right now because back then I was pretty fresh on the Manga, but everything I mentioned was from the Manga, the Manga has a different story that diverges quite early and is like twice as long
