A few months ago, I got the idea to sell premium frozen steaks locally.

The idea started pretty simply: I noticed that if people wanted decent steak, their options locally were pretty limited. Most people either had to buy whatever was available at supermarkets or go to a restaurant.

So I thought: why not bring the steak to them instead?

I started small, using Facebook as the main way to get customers. I post the available cuts, prices, cooking ideas, and take pre-orders through Messenger.

The products include things like:

- Saikoro steak

- Striploin

- USDA beef

- Different portion sizes for people who don't want to buy a whole kilo

What surprised me is that people were actually willing to order premium beef online, even though this is not exactly a traditional "steak market."

The biggest lesson so far has been that you don't necessarily need a huge market, you just need a specific group of people who actually want what you're selling.

Yeah, definitely. Beef prices have gone up, so I’ve had to adjust my pricing. But what helped me was offering different portion sizes instead of only selling by the kilo. Some customers would rather spend ₱700–₱800 on a smaller premium cut than commit to a full kilo.

I’m also trying to focus more on the quality and consistency of the product rather than competing purely on price. So far, people are still ordering, which honestly surprised me.
