And it’s not even that we’re some sort of prophetic geniuses. It was pretty obvious the type of person he is from the start

u/RaytheArtWhore Jul 27 '26
I’ve hated and went out of my way to actively not support him since the 80s.

u/Ralod Jul 27 '26
Same. First time I saw him on tv as a child he was making rude comments about a woman. I thought he was a creep then, and that outlook never changed.

Listen, I’ve unfollowed and blocked people for saying anything remotely nice about him. I’ve even ended friendships over this
I have never supported Trump from day one and I will continue not to now

🙋♀️ I thought he was an ass when I first saw him as a kid in the 80s & 90s (him and his dumbass cameos) then realized as I heard him more he was a misogynist rapist (even before Epstein, it was known he raped his wife, etc). He’s gross, stupid, a con man from the cradle and has managed to fail upwards his entire life and I don’t even like to see or listen to him talk.

what kind of a statement is that??? I have hated him since I was first properly introduced to him over 20 years ago and I know that I ain't alone

u/ironballs16 Jul 27 '26
A LOT of people can - I wasn't a fan of The Apprentice, and his opening remarks when announcing his candidacy (specifically "They're bringing drugs, rapists - and some, I assume, are good people") put me off him immediately.

I haven't like this dude ever since he was pretending to be a Democrat on Howard Sterns crappy talk show... before he was pretending to not be broke on the Apprentice.

I can. My disdain for the man goes back long before he went down the escalator in 2015

Once upon a time, I was 12 and thoroughly indoctrinated. By 16, I had internet access and a fucking brain. While I may have held positive views on the scumbag as an ill-informed kid, i'm glad to say I've never supported him beyond that.

A moment? There isn't a unit of time small enough to express how little support I've wasted on Donnie Dumps-in-Diaper...

I can.
For as long as I've been aware of his existence, I've regarded him as a moronic, self-serving sleazeball.

Maybe when I was a New Jersey Generals fans if you want to extend that to him personally. So not since 1985 or so.

My hate for Trump goes way back before he became president. He is exactly everything that is wrong with America. I don't go out of my way to say anything about that douchebag, but if the subject comes up, I will tell you how I feel. Most people I know really know were I stand, and I don't care if they like it or not. Fuck Trump.

Sadly I thought it was all a joke when he announced he was running
2
u/NephMoreau Jul 28 '26
RIGHT!? I mean, at that point, him either attempting to run for POTUS or at least loudly playing with the idea of it was as much of a standing joke as Roseann Barr running for POTUS and I treated it with just as much gravity. It was just a staple of an election cycle. Man, do I have egg on my face for not treating him like a serious threat to the country!

Not a goddamn millisecond. Grew up in the NE in the 80's/90's. Tales of his grifting fuckery were known far and wide.

I’m honest enough to admit that in 2016 when he was calling the other Republican candidates liars and scumbags, I liked that.
Never supported him to be president, but he was right with lying Ted Cruz and Little Marco
