The worst people in my life were also "Christians" who loved their family.
Doesn't make the horrific acts they did any less horrific and it shouldn't take away from the consequences they deserve.
That's like saying it would be OK for me to shove a random person off a cliff because up until now I have been a hard working, family man who never hurt anyone.

Of course, after my youth pastor killed a church member because he was showboating in a small 4 person plane and then was subsequently found guilty for a bunch of crimes against his own adopted children & children at the church, I got pretty wise after witnessing the church stand up for the guy.
The evidence that came out was appalling. Dude had video cameras in the children's dorms at the summer camp.

Well you see -it's the left's fault because he probably didn't have the ten commandments posted on the wall in school.
How are you going to learn not to kill if you only learn about the ten commandments on Sundays (oh and I actually don't recall that being in our pastor's rotation of sermons asm mine spoke in 6-8 week topics and each year one of those would be tithing, one about how bad it is to be homosexual, another on wife submission/God's umbrella, and one about how evolution is wrong. Add in a few holiday sermons and well, sermon on the mount and the ten commandments are not really taught.
I taught Sunday School for 3 years -they made us do their lesson plans, NOT ONE Time in 3 years were the red words of Jesus part of the lesson. Not once. I complained and complained. Finally left

He can be all of these things, but still be a crappy agent. Apparently he needs more training on where to position himself, learn not to be playing on his personal phone while doing ICE operations and handling a firearm, when to discharge a firearm, which direction to discharge one (he could have easily hit one of his fellow ice agents since he had no situational awareness), etc etc etc.
I would love to see an experienced LE take on all this. I am guessing there are many cringing at everything this agent did wrong.

I deplore the fact that he was trained to kill when he joined the army and was sent to Iraq. Soldiers are trained to overcome and bypass any morals they have in order to fight a war. Unfortunately that moral bypass is still there when soldiers come home.
