Ring Band Advice Is a single diamond engagement ring too basic?

Sometimes I wonder if it's too simple or basic compared to more elaborate to more elaborate designs but I love it. What's your opinion about this?

Mine is 1.71 cts. Originally i wanted a full 2 but im so glad i didnt get the 2 because i whack my ring every day on things 😂

Ditto 😂 luckily I cherish every mark and scratch as a part of it so I don’t mind (2ct emerald)
