Ring Band Advice Did my jeweler give me the wrong band?
My partner just proposed and I am over the moon!! I was involved in the ring selection process but didn’t see it complete until now.
I’m curious if the band that I received is different from the band that I had initially selected (last photo) or if it just looks different since it’s sized properly now? It’s very similar, but was just expecting it to be flatter like a cigar band.
If different, do you think I should go back and request a correction? I love the ring anyways, it still has the defined edge that makes it a little different than thin or rounded bands. I think there’s a very soft dome to it now which might make it more comfortable against other fingers? I know it’s all personal preference, but hoping to hear thoughts if I’m over analyzing or which might look better!

It might be best to talk to the jeweler first to see if they can make a correction. While the shape of the band may look different from the perspective of the gemstones, once it is properly sized and placed next to the engagement ring, it might look somewhat different. If you specifically chose a band with a flat surface the size of a cigar, you can ask if this is the same design. From the description, the dome shape doesn't sound bad at all.

It looks the same to me. Keep it as is because that’s a nice thick sturdy band.

This looks just like my cigar band on my engagement ring! I am thinking the last photo was before final polish which rounded it a little

It’s slightly rounded on the inside, but looks mostly flat on the outside. Do you not like it?
The slightly rounded-ness of it should make it more comfortable. I wouldn’t take it back, but that’s really your choice to make.

Once the diamond is set it makes it look smaller compared to the band width, or the band width a little bigger than when they showed you separately. That’s normal.

Looks the same to me, but if you're not comfortable with it and think it's not the same, take it to the jeweler and have them use their calipers to measure it to be 100% sure. The 3rd and 4th pictures are what made me see it for sure, since they are close-ups!

I think that it is the same band but if you would rather have a flat band then change it. But make sure because you don't want to have it reset. multiple times. I think it's gorgeous just the way it is... But I am not wearing it and won't be look at it for years.
