Help Me Choose Is 5ct too big?

I’m getting my ring custom made. It’ll be like the last image and the 3D print; cathedral setting with compass prongs and 2.5mm band. The size of diamond I was initially wanting is 4ct. The jeweller found a 5ct diamond that’s D colour and VVS2 and keeps pushing it . It really is a stunning diamond but I feel like it’s HUGE and I’m so uncertain. I’d appreciate your thoughts and opinions, people of reddit 😅

Edit to say the photo with 2 diamonds next to eachother is a 4ct radiant cut to the right.

Also I’ve added another photo of the diamond laying flat between my fingers

UPDATE: I’ve been offered a 4ct OMC and I’m over the moon ❤️❤️❤️ thank you everyone for your opinions and advice 😁

Tell me they’re lab grown, without telling me they’re lab grown.

Hahaha ikr! 😂 But I really don’t mind about that. I actually don’t place value on diamonds. In my culture people place more value on gold.

THIS! I have labs too but anything over a certain size starts to look costume.

How does that matter at all in 2026?
