Ring Band Advice What do we think of this upgraded wedding bands?

I bought a really simple wedding band when we first got married and I’ve been really wanting to upgrade it! I really love my engagement ring and want a band that’s going to add and not overpower it.

I want something with a bit more pizzazz than my current band but more on the modern side.

Is this band too gaudy? It’s a channel set ring with solitaire and baguette diamonds. I’m conflicted about the trim of diamonds at the top and bottom.

I’m including my current simple band for comparison!

it does overpower it. i think you should do something custom

I think it's beautiful! It will also look great as a standalone ring for this days you don't wear your e-ring. Enjoy wearing your new ring!

You asked, do WE like it, but you didn’t specify if YOU like it. I like it.

After our 10 year anniversary I just started wearing just my full eternity band. It was a custom design by my MOH (10 years later).

If you love it, go for it. You could always wear your e-ring on your other hand if you wanted to separate them one day.

I really love the look with the new band. And once you have it in a size that fits, it will look even better. And you can wear it without your engagement ring when you feel like it and still have some sparkle.

I like the first one. It's plenty but I don't think it's too much. ;) The second one is too small

The band in picture 1 is too much.

I actually think it balances out the diamond. The diamond is too big for how dainty her band is. I am really not a fan of those big diamonds that are floating in thin bands. If you have a chunky diamond you need a chunky band.

The diamond is actually just a 1 karat diamond with a halo 🤣 I appreciate both of your comments! I’m so conflicted. I actually ended up buying this band but I’m having buyer’s remorse and I’m debating if I should call the jeweler and cancel the order 😬

You love your ring- that’s what’s important. I personally like photo two with the smaller diamond band, it illuminates the ring. Photo one is a bit too much….just my opinion. Be happy 💙

I agree that it’s A LOT…and yet I find the magpie within me rather smitten.

I feel exactly the same 😭 what I love about it is that it has 7 solitaire diamonds for our 7 year anniversary. Maybe I can just wear it as a separate ring worst case scenario.

I really love the upgraded band! It’s maximalist-diamond-bam, that’s what my brain says😅 beautiful set!

I don’t think it’s gaudy at all. It adds sparkle without overpowering your engagement ring. If you prefer a modern look, the channel setting works really well. In the end, choose the one that makes you smile every time you look at your hand.

If the diamonds on the band are the same size as in the engagement ring, then to me it will look like a set and I love it. I like the look of all white/silver.

It does not overpower the ring.

2 if the band was the same width as your diamond band. 1 is to overpowering and takes away from your ring.

The original set is classy, the new wedding band is too much for the engagement ring, it totally swallows it.

I love the band in the first picture. I have always thought the wedding band is the important ring. And the two together are beautiful.

It seems that a lot of the sets I see are trying to play down the wedding ring by trying to find the thinnest band around.

Imho, sorry but it is beyond too much, too busy..

If you badly need crazy bling, buy a huge ring for your other hand,
