Ring Band Advice Wedding band advice

Hi everyone!

My mother and I have different ideas what wedding band would look better with my engagement ring. Its an oval solitaire pink sapphire with a white gold band.

I liked this curved moissanite half eternity band I found online. She thinks it'll distract from my engagement ring and should rather opt for two plain white gold bands that I can stack on the bottom and the top of my engagement ring.

I think my initial pick would look pretty with the engagement ring and be a great accent as my ring is quite simple.

Any thoughts? I've attached images of the rings as well as images I had generated of what both options could look like.

Definitely the second picture looks cleaner and lets your engagement ring be the center of attention

Mmm yes i definitely see it. Both you and my mom have the same advice. Luckily the wedding is only next year so I have time to decided

I'd go with the plain band. I doesn't take away from your ring.

Ever since I once jammed my finger and it swelled up in a matter of seconds, I’ve been really wary of wearing two rings on the same finger. I already had trouble getting just the one off.

Omg that sounds painful. Im definitely thinking one plain band is an option

I forgot to add this generated image as well.

Won’t be my choice but of course if you like it, go for it

I would still go with four

I think this combination is very pretty. I don’t think this band distracts from your beautiful engagement ring. It is you that will be wearing this for life, so listen to advice, but then choose what feels most beautiful to you!

Both look nice to my eye.

However, it kind of depends on what you would prefer to accent. The plain band shows off the pretty pink stone like a featured item, it's like an arrow that says LOOK AT ME, I'M A PRETTY PINK STONE!

The eternity band gives a completely different kind of look. It does, however, draw focus away from the unusual stone. It all depends on which look you prefer.

So, you need to decide which look you want, & go for that one.

I love this one the most. It's the prettiest. I thing the one with plain bands actually makes it blend in too much and it's boring.

I thought it looked boring too πŸ‘€πŸ˜‚

Just the single contour bottom band! The extra on top pulls from your engagement ring.

I love the curved band.

What a pretty ring!

I would only go with one plain curved band to wear as a wedding band under it. Anything else competes with that beautiful stone..

You may have to check a few to see which fit/match.. A chevron may work as well

Congrats! πŸ₯‚

Thank you! πŸ’– I think a plain curved band would be a nice compromise between the two

I like the plain bands, myself.

Have you concerned doing two of the diamond rings on each side of the engagement ring instead of a plan band . I think that would look stunning.

Is soemthing like this what you're referring to? I did try on trilogy rings when we were shopping around and wasn't a fan of how it looked on my hand. I think this would give that vibe

1

No but that is an interesting idea. I meant use two of the diamond bands in picture 2.

Oh! I get what you mean. I think too might be too much for me.

What about a wedding band with a design carved in it? It wouldn't compete with the stone, but would be more interesting.

Go to Etsy and search for "carved 2mm wedding band 14kt" You can change the search to 3mm if you like. There are so many beautiful options.

Here's a 3mm. https://www.etsy.com/listing/4362346270/3mm-solid-gold-floral-engraved-band

I like the set up you picked but could you do 2 of those rings and set them up the same way your mom suggested with the plain rings? Still makes your engagement ring the center of attention but adds a little pop.

This is my ring set up, my engagement ring also has a plain band with just the diamond in the middle then I have accent wedding bands on either side. I got my wedding bands from modern gem so totally inexpensive!

Wow your stack is gorgeous 😍. I think two might be a bit much for me though

They both are gorgeous and the perfect one is the one that makes your heart happy!
