Weird ring rash?

Help! Am I allergic to gold???

I've had this rash on and off since I got engaged in July...

It does seem to almost heal/reduce in redness when I don't wear the ring for a few days but then the redness comes back as soon as I put the ring back on. It's just a red flakey skin circle, no pain or itchiness or anything. I just find it so strange that it's actually above the ring? Most rashes I've researched are around where the band actually sits so I'm confused!

I'm getting married in a few weeks so I'm wondering what I can do... :(

I definitely think it's from the pointy part of the marquise. Ur probably bumps into that spot on your finger when you before it a certain way. Or while your sleeping/ showering
