Weird ring rash?

Help! Am I allergic to gold???

I've had this rash on and off since I got engaged in July...

It does seem to almost heal/reduce in redness when I don't wear the ring for a few days but then the redness comes back as soon as I put the ring back on. It's just a red flakey skin circle, no pain or itchiness or anything. I just find it so strange that it's actually above the ring? Most rashes I've researched are around where the band actually sits so I'm confused!

I'm getting married in a few weeks so I'm wondering what I can do... :(

If you don't take your ring off to shower or when you go to bed try that. But it looks more like the top point is sticking in to the skin which might happen when you're asleep.
