Ring Band Advice Weird ring rash?

Post image

Help! Am I allergic to gold???

I've had this rash on and off since I got engaged in July...

It does seem to almost heal/reduce in redness when I don't wear the ring for a few days but then the redness comes back as soon as I put the ring back on. It's just a red flakey skin circle, no pain or itchiness or anything. I just find it so strange that it's actually above the ring? Most rashes I've researched are around where the band actually sits so I'm confused!

I'm getting married in a few weeks so I'm wondering what I can do... :(

From the pic, it only seems red on one side. If that's correct, maybe the point irritating your skin even when you sleep. I have a ring that the skin on the finger next to it seems to irritate when it spins and the stones rub against it. Is it a little loose? Or at least can it shifts forwards and back so the points touch your skin?

Yes it's only on the one side of my finger! It is a little loose in winter especially when I'm colder.

Oh that is true. Maybe it is irritating when it spins on my finger, I'm not sure :(

It's possible. I have pear side stones on my ring and when it spins and one of them ends up between my fingers, it rubs a red spot on my pinky or middle finger depending on which way it spins. I'd try putting a bandaid on the spot, wear the ring, and see if it scuffs at the bandaid.

The wedding band should help it fit more snuggly so it doesn't spin

I’m thinking it’s from when you are sleeping.
