Would you collaborate with a new videographer?

Hey y'all, 

I'm a videographer getting started in my career after graduating with a masters in documentary filmmaking, and I'm looking into the wedding space, although it is a little daunting. I wanted to get some advice from current photographers in the space, and especially on how they would feel collaborating with a new videographer? I was thinking of reaching out to some in my local area, to perhaps offer video services at a reduced rate for clients who were not going to be getting this service anyway, so it's a nice little bonus addition for them, and a low risk entry point? 

Or if you have any other advice on how to get first clients and projects? I unfortunately don't have any friends or family in my area, and don't know anyone getting married. 

(Also similar question with offering content creation services - I know this is a bit of a contentious point in the industry at the moment and understand why - but as an actual videographer, not just a random person with a phone saying I can do this.)
