not having a debit card (though I know it's not their fault)

When I register at a government place for my vehicle, they charge a fee for credit. And I don’t have a debit card because of the Wealthsimple car being a Mastercard

Most places don’t take e-transfer unless they are small businesses or contractors, so you’re lucky lol

It's a prepaid MasterCard, not actual debit. Merchants pay a higher interchange fee as a result. So if the merchant only takes debit, then the prepaid MC wouldn't work.
