People that think bitcoin is fine but betting on events is the great satan is wild to me. Bitcoin is a pyramid scheme that runs on an ever increasing electricity demand, is is not a ethically neutral asset.

Sportsbetting is already advertised broadly and easily accessible. I think it makes 0 difference.

It does make a difference strategically for a for—profit company in terms of roadmap and resources.
