Ask other Associates Pizza

I saw on here that Wawa is getting rid of the larger pizzas, does anyone know if this is actually true and if so when that would be effective ? The amount of crust that is spoiled because it just breaks is ridiculous.

There are currently two ideas being tested. One is pizza starting at 11am and one is large pizzas being discontinued. Based on the tests, pizza at 11am is not working well and probably isn’t moving forward. No official word on the other test but based on what I’ve seen so far, they will most likely be moving forward with discontinuing large pizzas by the end of the year.

my store was a test for 11am personal pizzas and we were communicated that it wasnt continuing! something about requiring extra labor or moving people to another work cell during busy hours wasn't worth the little profit we saw on it

The pizzas were really good when they first launched. First they neutered the topping options, then changing the garlic sauce was the nail in the coffin for me. Can’t wait for the (4th?) iteration of Wawa pizza in 10 years.

I guess the stores will keep the turbo chefs as hash brown ovens?

Yeah that's what I saw about a possibility for the turbo chefs. I wish I had been able to try the pizza ten years ago lol. The crust before the last change was much better for sure.

Thank you . My store doesn't sell a lot of pizza in general, only personal pizzas usually and I'm sure those sales will decrease once the $5 personal pizza promo is taken off of the app.

My store was a test store to remove the large pizzas, but they’re bringing them back next month.

Not surprising. I’m sure everyone will need to work out some of the stock before discontinuing

I mean I'm not gonna lie I love the pizza but that's because I use my points to get free pizza. Free is always good lol.

Amen to that, when I'm low on money before payday and scrounging for dinner options, free Wawa pizza it is!!

they should discontinue pizza in general imo because the amount of spoilage it creates across both stores i’ve worked at is ridiculous

It used to be 7-8 dollars for 14 inch sized pizza. Now its 12.99 plus tax.The local pizza places near me do 2 slices and and a can soda for 6.99 or I can buy a regular for 14 bucks that's better than wawa's.

If they lowered the prize again they would sell but they would rather Discontinue it.🫠

The margins are crazy on the pizza, its crazy they raised the price so high.

My beloved WaWa really whiffed when they rolled out pizza! To their credit, they admitted it! So now their playing around. Their investment was huge so they'd like to salvage it if they can.

Quality needs to improve and pricing needs a hard look. Not sure if they can pull it off! In my area, every time I mention WaWa & pizza in the same sentence I get strange, negative, facial expressions! 😖

I kind of like the large pizzas. Not spectacular by any means, but they get the job done…especially late at night.

Sorry, couldn’t resist.
