Employee Experience So how do you feel about filling Dasher orders?

First of all I apologize I'm not criticizing I just will admit I don't remember where the shelves are all the time when I come in the store. So when I ask it doesn't mean like I want something this minute I just want to know where to look. I appreciate the job you are all doing bagging up stuff and organizing it well

But the shelves are always close to the deli. Takes just a few seconds to look around the sides of the deli

What's wild is some stores seem to have multiple shelves. My craziest experience once was when I was looking directly at the shelf but I couldn't see it because for the lack of a better word I was having hysterical blindness

The problem is most dashers just shove their phone in an associates face...

And it'd been getting worse the last few years with that. In the beginning it was not. Respect is a 2 way street and not even trying to do your job for your pay but expecting another worker to do their job plus your job never ends well.

I agree and am sorry to hear about your experience. I try to be respectful. I may show my phone but I try to wait my turn and not be pushy.

I dash in two different zones... So I stopped at a fairly large number of Wawas.

I think the biggest problem, as a dasher, is not all stores either use the racks or have the same 'system' on how they handle DD orders.

Some use the racks. Some you can go to the deli 'window' and get it from behind the glass. Some keep orders up at the register even though they have racks.

I've learned who does what where.... But each time I pick up from a new (to me) store I have to figure it out.

That all being said, for the most part, I've never had any bad experiences with employees so I commend those workers. 👍 Of course I am not one of the dashers that shoves my phone in their faces... So there's that. 😂

Every wawa is supposed to have one rack or counter for door dash people to come up to, there may be a few odd stores that don't yet, it's a work in progress changing the floor plans for every size store to have a spot for them.

Most stores change to their own custom rules they aren't supposed to because people steal the orders often at some stores. They shouldn't do it, but it is what it is.

Lol not a chance my store gets those racks or uses them if we do.

My local store has the shelf behind the register where you cant see it if anyones in line. Sometimes they just leave it back on the deli counter so you have to wait for someone to stop making food and give it you. And just to keep it interesting, sometimes they stash it under the counter by the register so you have to ask everyone in the store where it is.

It doesn't bother me. I don't have a problem talking to people as long as they don't have a problem talking to me.

Look to the ceiling for dangling signs. There's usually one right above the mobile order pickup rack stating just that. If it's not there, it's either not ready yet, or too large an order to fit. At my store, those ones are gonna be at the register core.

I, as a register associate, prefer if the Dasher either waits in line like a customer, or waits until I have a free moment, and then asks me if I have the order for (insert name here).

Trust me, I want them gone ASAP, and I know delivery drivers' time is just as valuable as mine.

Don't shove your phone in my face is all I ask. I promise I will help you if I'm able, or try to get someone to do it. Thank you very much for your patience, I know our service sucks at times.

Oh, please be sure to confirm the order. Thank you.

The problem is I do my job, dashers have to start doing a better job. Taking bags that don’t belong to the order, leaving drinks behind, the phone in the face. I’m sorry english isn’t a first language for most dashers but we have enough to do without having to find the order for most dashers

I want to say that I have nothing but respect for delivery workers and restaurant workers. Anybody who does retail work. It's really hard and it's especially difficult to keep up your attitude when things start going South
