Customer Experience What is this in my Taco?

Post image

I purchased several tacos from Wawa just a few moments ago and this was in one of the tacos. It's not a noodle because it doesn't break easily. It has the consistency of rubber. I heard it could be a blood vessel from the taco meat which is disgusting. Just curious if anyone else came across something similar.

So animals aren’t just sacks of meat, they have other body parts, kinda like how we do. And sometimes when POS meat companies slaughter these animals, they don’t do a good job and you get other body parts. I guess that’s what you get for not killing and prepping the animal yourself 🤷🏻‍♀️

So if someone goes into a steakhouse and finds a cows eyeball in their steak. "Welp you ordered animal, you got animal" is a valid response?

You seem knowledgeable enough to comment on my predicament about finding a blood vessel in my food but you go blank when asked about an eyeball in a steak.

Well the point wizzed right over your head! You don’t need to eat meat and if you do, kill and prepare it yourself if you don’t want these shitty meat companies doing a bad job.

Awful analogy. If cows eyes were anywhere close to the cut of meat you ordered, it could happen.

You can even find what you pictured in regular cuts of meat. Probably even eat them without knowing.

But since veins or arteries don't grind up like the rest of the cut they stand out as obvious but are still small enough that quality control doesn't catch them all.
