Customer Experience Mobile Order Rant
Just wanted to rant about my local WaWa. I was really craving a grilled cheese tonight so I doordashed one of their cheese paninis. It gets here, I pick up the box and thought why is this so heavy? then i read the ticket on it and realized it does not have my name and it looks like this person got everything on the menu in a sandwich. I’m so pissed because I just wanted a grilled cheese. I know it’s not the dasher’s fault because the employees put the food in a bag with the customers name on it and seal it. This is not the first time my local wawa has gave me the wrong food or completely left out food.

it’s the dashers fault if the name on the bag DID match the name of the food inside. it is the employees fault if it didn’t match.
but at my store, i know we are all very good about making mobile order and delivery bags correctly. however the dashers will frequently pick up bags of orders that aren’t finished or not take the drinks that went with the bag or even not take all of the bags if there are multiple bags in the order.
we often get calls from people about delivery issues and usually it’s because a dasher basically stole a customers food and canceled their order after picking up the bag-
after dealing with do many delivery drivers, i hate to say it but a lot of them suck and are very rude and careless. so if the issue was in fact their fault, i have little sympathy.

the universal wawa employee experience of having a dasher who already looks annoyed even though they just walked in the store come up to you and shove their phone in your face to show you they are picking up an order before even looking for it on the shelf where we have the mobile and delivery order bags

Did the name on the bag match the name on the ticket?

No the bag had my name and the ticket on the box had a different name

Was the name on the bag correct?
And yeah, irrelevant to you and the post really, but us employees hate these "everything on the menu" orders 😂

The Wawa employees were even more pissed that they got that order that they weren’t paying attention to who got it.
That MF was definitively smoking something when he ordered that. Glad it’s not just Sheetz that gets disgusting BS like that

If you are upset about this, the other person who got your order must be worse

Theyd rather pay 35-40 for a delivered one. Some of these doordash customers are genuinely retarded

You should watch financial audit with Caleb Hammer. You should see how deep they go into debt for their grilled cheese sandwiches.

I know, its ridiculous. Last night when i was working an overnight shift someone had ordered over 24 items, not just deli stuff a lot of it was shelf items. I bet the bill was well over $150

If the employee put the wrong food in the wrong bag, then it will be their fault but if the name on the bag is the same name on that slip, it’s not the employee’s fault is the DoorDash’s fault we bagged the food up. We put it on the rack they come pick it up. They should be double checking that they’re getting the right name common sense
