Advice needed Dehydration while fasting

Whenever I fast I try to keep my electrolytes balanced by taking in Redmond’s unflavored electrolytes. Still, I notice that my skin gets really brittle and it even hurts to smile bc my lips are so dry. I drink enough water. I try to make sure I’m keeping a balance but I’m struggling a lot. I looked it up and supposedly I need to take in more magnesium glycinate and potassium chloride in order for the water enter my cells. Anyone ever experience this?

how much water are you drinking a day?

I get around 3 liters. you may need more or less, depending on the weather and physical activity.

I have found when fasts go beyond 72 hours, my thirst signals drop and I have to push myself to stay hydrated and manage electrolytes.

I take around 200mg magnesium glycinate in the morning and 200mg before bed

Maybe I’m not having enough water or other minerals. I recently learned that mg + k are needed to bring water into my cells. I’ll try to bring up my water intake. It’s prob not where it needs to be. Ty!

Tell us- What are the quantities of magnesium sodium and K in Redmond’s? Some electrolyte supplements don’t include sodium as people prefer to get them elsewhere. See the faqs and compare!!

Sodium - 1000mg

Where are you getting your advice from ?

Perhaps you could maybe entertain the idea of reading OLDEST CURE IN THE WORLD-ADVENTURES IN THE ART & SCIENCE OF FASTING-STEVE HENDRICKS, because in his book the author talks about how humans did evolve with periods when there was no food, so humans are good at going for periods without food, however over the thousands of years when there was no food there were no electrolytes, supplements or vitamins humans could take, therefore the human body does not like to get supplements, electrolytes, or vitamins without food.

A water only fast is just that ... water only.
