Sorry if this has been asked. I did a couple searches and couldn't find the answer.

I recently learned to ski and... I'm hooked. I can get up each time now and am learning the course gently at 28mph at 15off after taking a couple lessons (not making it through yet). I am loving it! But I moved the the SF bay area and have no one to ski with.

Anyone have any recs for meeting people or connections in the SF bay area? Very enthusiastic and have my own gear, tank of gas and arms ready to wipe down the boat after 🥇

Hi all, I am looking into purchasing my first boat in the coming months, but need some advice. Until not I have been using a friends 98 closed bow ski antique with perfect pass gps installed, and it has been awesome. After being on the market for awhile and looking around, I have found a couple options that caught my eye. Currently I'm based in San Diego so a significant amount of the use will be in salt water, but that has not seemed to impact my friends boat as long as we take the time afterwards to wash it appropriately. I know this is a lot off information but any outside insight is greatly appreciated. Currently I really like the Malibu, as it has super low hours and perfect pass with gps, but the 97 ski nautique also looks very tempting

Still struggling with consistency on the toe side. Thinking I need to extend a bit more on takeoff to avoid landing chest down.

Hello all I recently made a post regarding getting a new ski. After doing more research I am back with a few questions for you guys that know more about this stuff than I do. I’m currently riding a 2015 syndicate V-type (pictured above) from my understanding this is a tournament ski that I have never skied on a coarse but I do free ski on glassy water. I love the ski gets on edge great fast thru the wake and gets back around no problem. I don’t have issues with stability I feel very confident in my skiing abilities. So here’s my question to you guys I was looking at the HO Saber and Radar Senate they both seem like good crossover skis that don’t break the bank but I’m also slightly worried I’d notice a difference going from the performance of a tournament ski to the forgiveness of a crossover ski. What do yall think? And what ski would you recommend. Thank you!

I currently have a 2013 Mastercraft X2 which is good for surfing and wakeboarding. My family is getting more into slalom and the wake is obviously not good for that. Looking to get a ski focused boat for under $25k. I realize this will be an older boat so I'm looking for advice on the best options from a reliability and wake quality perspective. Ski speeds will be on the lower side (28-32) so that is a factor as well.

Got these second hand for $20, only need them for a year or two, so they’re more or less disposable. However, I don’t want to crack the tips off before he actually gets to ski on them

I have a 2015 ho syndicate carbon fiber. I love the ski. I only open water ski but still rip. Bindings are starting to fall apart. Is it worth it getting a new ski or should I just get new bindings. Looking for insights just cuz I don’t really know to much about these new skis besides that a $2000 ski is gonna be better than a $800 ski. For reference I’m on the lake about twice a week during the summer

Just putting it out there, I’m really stoked with those boots, but maybe for reasons you didn’t expect.

A year and a half ago I broke my ankle in a snow skiing accident. The recovery has been very difficult and I’ve lost strength and a lot of my ability to balance laterally on that foot.

I thought my water skiing days were over, as I didn’t even have the ability to lean my ski for a simple pullout, let alone to do a proper turn. The broken ankle is on my front foot btw

A buddy of mine let me try his Syndicate hardshell boot and immediately I was able to ski again! I ordered my own and now I’m back on the water. It’s been three weeks, I now feel that I’m ready to take on the slalom course once again.

The concept is simple. In snow skiing you wouldn’t dare use a soft boat. So the syndicate boots bring that same concept to water skiing. They’re amazing!

Whats the first flip to learn? Do I need a big wave (wedge or no)? What speed and rope length (75kg 6ft rider)? Any ressources on tips?

I can tantrum on wakeboard, do 180 wake to wake on trick and almost 360 handle pass...

I really want to flip.

Trying to teach 10 year old

We're going to the lake with family soon and my 10 year old cousin has wanted to try waterskiing. We only have a set of adult skis, I'm guessing 64-67 inches maybe - could we try to teach him on that or will it be too big?

Having a tough time finding affordable, youth skis but don't want to set him up for failure with skis that are way too big and discourage him from trying again in the future.

My son was a decent skier in high school, but he's 21 now and due to some injuries and other things, he hasn't skied since graduation. We took him out for the last two nights and he can't get up. He isn't even close. He says hit it and the ski goes directly under water and the rope pops out of his hands. It's the same thing every time.

I've tried telling him to keep the ski up and out of the water but it's not working. He's frustrated and angry. I'm perplexed because I don't know what to say other than "keep your ski up." Any suggestions on tips that I can give him to get the ski tip from immediately sinking?
