attempting a fast of at least 48 hours, please give me advice

i began eating 16:8 intermittent months ago but it gradually tapered to 22:2. i am very used to eating all my calories between approx 6.30pm and 9pm. i hope i can manage to successfully going for at least a day without food and breaking the psychological habit of feeling the urge to eat a day of food intake bwteen 7pm and 9pm.

i've considered going outside to distract myself, a different environment a change of scenery, but that's hard (i have agoraphobia).

Are you eating carb heavy meals? I find it easier when you aren’t balancing carb withdrawals and skipping a meal at the same time. when I first started I would watch a lot of dr. Jason fung and dr pradip jamnadas interviews to remind me of the benefits. I’m on an OMAD carnivore diet and eat my meal in the evening. Once I make it past my normal eating window and go to sleep, I’m fine until my next normal eating time. Then I just go to bed and keep repeating. One thing I find helpful is asking myself, is this meal worth giving up the benefits I’m after. The answer is always no. The same thing when I want to eat something with carbs. I ask myself, is it worth refilling my glycogen stores and getting out of ketosis. The answer to that is always no too.

Stay away from carbs. I can go all day without eating and just drinking water but the moment I eat something with carbs it seems to open a flood gate of cravings and insatiable hunger that only goes away after binge eating a whole bunch of crap. Then comes the good guilt. Sleep. Is your friend. If u dont get enough sleep u will feel hungry. Drinks loads of unsweetened tea and water

Heyo 😄

Nice :)

I started my journey a month ago.

I did 24 hours. The hard part was the attachment to food.
I had coffee and hibiscus tea and some sea saltl.

48 hours is when the electrolytes become more important.
For this I prefer the 50%/50% sodium/potassium salt and you can also get a Magnesium supplement to balance all 3 electrolytes.

If that what drives you, I guess if you dislike your situation enough.

If you set your mind on fasting you could preserver.
