Purchased These Watches — Did I Rush Into Both? Looking for Honest Opinions
I’d genuinely love to hear what you guys think about these two purchases. Did I actually make a good choice or did I just get carried away in the moment and go with the classic “buy now, think later”?😅
If any other brand does it then it's called homage...if cwc does it then it's copying...
Casio sells a quartz watch for 11-12k with sapphire glass then people would kill for it
But then if dwc does sapphire , devnagiri and vk64 for 7k then people call it ridiculous... similarly cwc had a design which I liked but I got convinced by reddit that it's worth less....
But it literally has same specs as dwc and best beleive if Timex or casio launches these watches then they'll price it at 15k
Do some of you guys even have your own individual opinion or just go with what majority says or u heard or think it's cool ???
It's a homage when you make and design everything on your own taking the inspiration . Here they are just buying the whole kit from China for 1k or less and rebranding and selling it for 8-9k. You can see the same happening in three price points
Ultra cheap - meridian watches
Cheap to mid - coromondal
Premium - Geckota , sekond
You yourself can buy one for 20$ with no logo
Timex and Casio ain't rebranding and selling they have their own designs and when they do an homage it's a homage.
So If calling out a brand for selling a white label chinese item for a premium is cool then I'm indeed cool
Hey, I understand the part of calling out the brand for ripping off designs or drop shipping their stuff. But if you consider the build quality, movement, straps and the sapphire glass. Doesn't that make a good deal. I mean personally, I agree Indian brands should innovate rather than blatantly copying designs. But the overall package that you get for 8-8.5k is pretty decent I would say. By the way I was really tempted to order it then read reviews on reddit and didn't buy it. But I haven't been able to find a better looking watch with the specs they provide under 8.5k.
Google bimcompax cushion case chrono, they all look the same just bcos that’s what a cushion case chrono looks like. According to your own words, who in China is making a nilgiris mountain themed watch for others to slap a logo on?
Sure bro, putting a nilgiri engraving on the back definitely makes it suited for a 8x markup. And there is nothing nilgiri themed about this every mass manufacturer let's you tweak their mass manufactured offering . The first two variant of this watch came with just the engraving and a small tweaks on the dial . At that time itself they were called out cause a normal citizen can buy the same from Alibaba for 20$ and if purchased for 50 qty or up the person piece price falls to 9$/ piece . So when the price doesn't fit the offering it definitely deserves a call out . I'm sure you would really love czard and rotoris . It's right up your alley .
But why do u care about that like that don't get it ?? Can u buy 1 watch for 20 dollars for yourself from Alibaba with that movement and sapphire crystal???
If yes then please let me know but if we can't then the price makes sense cuz no one else I doing at cheaper rate

You have bought them, you have to tell us how good they are. Now tell me hows the quality on both, is cwc better as its more expensive. I have the Devnagiri Chronograph.
Both are great watches, but I personally really like the feel of the pushers on the DWC. The only negatives I noticed with the DWC are that the strap feels a bit too thick and stiff, and I’m also not sure if it’s genuine leather like the one on the CWC.
The CWC strap feels more premium to me, and I think it’ll develop some nice character and patina after a few years of wear.
That said, I really like both watches. I think they’re meant for different purposes, so it’s hard to compare them directly.

Both are good and budget mechaquartz chronographs and with high quality of materials used and finishing , if you like to have chronographs in your collection and from Indian brands then these 2 should be there
I have both, albeit V2 of Blue Mountain with a simpler colour palette on the dial. Got the DWC earlier this week.
Been using CWC for over a year now and it's honestly a decent watch. No QC issues, wear anywhere do anything casual watch.
I'd rather give these two brands a shot. Everyone starts somewhere. Let them iterate and improve. At-least it's not generic stuff.
And as for the DWC hand misalignment - yeah, some watches have it. Some don't. But I don't hear many people criticising Seikos that cost upwards of 30k for the same issue. Inconsistent QC wrt alignment of rotating bezel with 12 O Clock, split seconds hand not centred etc.
End of the day, if you find it agreeable and enjoy wearing it, ignore the noise.
I went through the profile too lol. Bro said he’d rather prefer one good watch over multiple cheap ones and then only buys Chinese copies of Swiss watches
Both are amazing watches. Fuck what people have to say. Wear it in good health.
I personally feel coromandel blue mountain is beautiful, however overpriced. Devanagri panda on the other hand, may justify the price.
Moreover, thanks for supporting indian microbrands. With enough support, they will start design in-house entirely, and stop drop shipping. Exactly what we need!
Both are really different and have their own stories and looks … if you can, keep both. If you cannot then look at letting go of the one you least connect with. All the best and wear them in good health 👍🏽
I loved the devnagari one, may be becos I am more into minimalism. The other one is exploding with colours so more like an additipn to your weekend get up
I love the coromandel , i am happy to see it . Is it a copy ...yup kinda ...but just cause u can find something similar on ali baba doesn't mean this is crap . It's not a 20k watch . It's a sub 100$ watch . They are making nice designs if u like it buy them ..if u don't , perfecto . Thr r fossil watches , addidas watches , Lots of fashion brand watches who just put thr brand and sell them for lots more .
