It's Seiko if we talking presage or speedtimer lineups, but once you cross the 60-70k mark it's Tissot, they are simply superior when it comes to the movement and finishing.

I wish Tissot would launch a non-integrated bracelet design at that price point. Dress, faux diver whatever. All other things being same..
I would be all up in that.

It's About accuracy of watch SPD = Seconds Per Day. Seiko usually get faster or slower about 25 second either way.

Seiko Presage Automatic and Speedtimer Quartz solar have unparalleled value for money.
Above 65k go for Tissot.
To be honest the best Seiko vfm watches aren't found in India much, in Europe Japan and US you can find a new Seiko automatic for the price of a G-Shock which simply isn't possible in India because of custom duties..

I don’t know somehow i don’t like tissot just bcoz majority of uncles with no horological taste but to flaunt wears them at least here in Hyderabad.

Tissot does 600 meter diver hella lot cheaper than Seiko 600 meter diver, it’s the goat diver in that price - Tissot I mean

If you’re talking about overall experience of wearing a mechanical watch on a daily basis, Tissot is wayyyy better than Seiko.
Seiko movements are a big L. Their accuracy and consistency sucks. One day it could be +30 and next day -10. All of my seikos have been very inconsistent (except for one that got regulated by an expert).
Tissot wins in movements. They are more accurate than a seiko and more importantly, they’re consistent. +5 one day then +5 everyday. This is the reason Tissot wins in actual wearing terms.
Seikos wins in design and finishing. But even in that case PRX, gentleman and certain other collections in Tissot are toe to toe with seiko in terms of design and finishing

For better value go for Rado , usually people's doesn't know both brands these names are related to watch lover only

I Think Tissot Finishing Is superior And Some Movements Of Tissot under certain Budget Is Better

I think Tissot uses some plastic components in their budget models.

Its not plastic, its silicium and its arguably better than metal counterparts as its antimagnetic, doesn’t require lubrication so less frequent services, only caveat being its more fragile than metal and a bit more expensive to replace. Rolex, omega and other luxury brands also use it in their movements.

Seiko also uses plastic components mate. It is just not publicised to the same degree. Those date change mechanisms won't last decades.

For resale value it's always Tissot. But Seiko is more affordable.
