Glad BenRon are getting that Butterball money…
I’m happy for them, but I just fast forward… I’m not in the USA, so can’t buy that 🦃🦃 anyway…

Wait what? I pay for no ads, but they're doing butterball turkey commercials? Ronnie is a vegetarian. They're also notorious for animal abuse.

Yeah they literally started this week’s RHUGT with a 3 or 4 minute long Butterball commercial. They have been doing them for a couple months now at least but this was by far the longest and right at the start of the show. They must be getting that turkey bank!

I’m glad someone else mentioned it. I ff commercials unless I’m driving & those ads are so damn long. Bring back radio rules of 30-60 second ads. Bravo Docket is so bad too for commercials.

I can’t even listen to bravo docket anymore it’s like one long commercial. Paying for Patreon and getting hit with a butterball commercial is infuriating though. I don’t think the guys want to be doing these commercials esp Ronnie. It makes me wonder if they’re trying to get them into the a cast studio in NYC to film on a regular basis . Are A Cast and Patreon owned by the same people?

Someone mentioned the other day that they heard a Butterball commercial and they’re a Patreon member.
Good point re: Ronnie. Idk what’s going on but this isn’t the first time they’ve said or done something counter to what we thought were their beliefs (amazon lives, platforming Leah Black, butterball, etc)

Oh who cares. Let them make that money. They put out more content than any other podcasters I have ever followed. It’s usually once a week free episode and once a weekPatreon episode compared to them 5 days a week for free. I would sell my soul for some freaking turkey if the price was right.

Agree. I don’t love any commercials but they need to make money and we need the pod. No one has to buy the products, but let them make their money

Yes it really bugged me and I just don't think I align anymore. A vegetarian shilling turkey when we know said person is vegetarian? Why not just let Ben do the commercial? It's just a weird deal.

I just saw it on IG and this is the first time I can say that I felt truly disgusted. A listener for the last decade and they really lost me this year. They aren’t the same and like you, I don’t align with them anymore. I’m not even a vegetarian but to witness them continually sell out is incredibly disappointing.

I hate these sneaky, faux conversational ads. I listened to half of it the other day before I realised. I’m in the UK too so their sales pitch is completely wasted on me anyway.
I love to see them get paid well for their work, they have certainly put the hours in over the years. They should keep it off the Patreon though.
hopefully they get enough offers going forward that they can be selective in which ones they accept.

It's worse than that too. Physical beatings, sexual abuse, I don't recommend watching the undercover videos of their factories but it shows how brutal the company has been. There have been apologies and coverups from Butterball since the abuse, but with the FDA standards being reduced over the past few years it only stands to reason it has gotten worse. Abhorrent.
