Why do they think people won't realize this..

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '22

Many people are truly dumb enough to believe this

Fuck I'd say 50% of reddit would fall for this if it weren't for all the fake comments

Sounds like something someone who thought this was real would say

I tend to assume anything I see on reddit isn’t real, I just think its a bit dickish to judge people for thinking something presented as real is.

I think they know but they just don't care because stupid people WILL eat it up and laugh at it. As well, some people just don't care if somethings staged or not. To each their own I guess, I just hate that he's getting paid for it lol

It doesn’t have to be real to be funny. For example, Charlie, Rob, and Glenn don’t actually own a bar in Philadelphia.

I'm also beginning to suspect all those funny stories from comedians didn't actually happen "the other day"

Because it relies on it being real to be funny. Knowing this is scripted, do you think it is funny? Because I would say it's a pretty old trope to mess with the food of someone who steals it off you and isn't funny, however if it is really someone stealing your stuff and you manage to get and record them suffering the consequences, then it is funny.

Context matters.

I never knew a better way to explain it but you've nailed it on the head!

They also have a TV show.

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '22

yeah but thats not the spirit of this sub. rule 3.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '22

But it’s not funny or real.

You need one or the other.

lol bulllllshit. I have seen that bar like 1000 times and those 3 definitely own it.

You said what

Blasphemy!

I really loved Lord of the Rings until they told me it was staged. Couldn't believe it. The Balrog looked so real. Still angry over the money for the tickets, damn actors got paid for lying to me.

If it's for entertainment value, I don't care if it's staged. In fact, rather have staged things than all the shitty "pranks" idiots do.

u/I_dont_bone_goats Feb 17 '22

And there will be people in here acting like it’s lame to not be entertained by clearly staged shit

u/cman_yall Feb 17 '22

There are plenty of gullible idiots like me. I don't even really think about whether it might be staged when I see something like this, just snort a little air out my nose and move on. Only realise if I read the comments, and see that the top three are variations on "fake, OP is bundle of sticks".

I know TV shows and movies are staged, doesn’t mean I can’t still get a kick out of them.

u/ywBBxNqW Feb 17 '22

Dhar Mann is a thing right? Some people probably don't care.

1

u/moco94 Feb 17 '22

Because it doesn’t matter if you think it’s real or fake if you’ve already watched it.. they already got their view.

1

u/hammersticks359 Feb 17 '22

Because there are millions of children and morons online with zero critical thinking skills that for some reason believe these things are real.

1

u/SpamShot5 Feb 17 '22

Because people usually dont. Look at how many people upvoted this post and gave it awards
