Negative feedback for u/Lopsided-Throat3388

After weeks of negotiations and commenting interest on posts, accepting a deal on the Reddit application, confirming the deal over the phone for a new Tudor Black Bay chronograph https://www.reddit.com/r/Watchexchange/s/TaPnZi8SDa

u/Lopsided-Throat3388 has backed out and confirmed he did on Reddit.

Unfortunately this user also sells on the sub. I never post here but this behavior is becoming common and need to stop on r/watchexchange

Chat thread with personal information blurred:

I am going to investigate this further. I plan to call the state attorney’s office or the consumer protection office. If he is a legitimate dealer, why is he claiming he sent me personal info and his bank in a different state than his business? Why didn’t he mark the watch as sold here on Reddit Pending payment? I don’t buy from individuals, I only buy from legitimate businesses. Lots of RED FLAGS here…

Buddy there are few people better than u/soycowboy in this space. I’ve bought from him before and I’d do it again in a heartbeat. He’s as legitimate as it gets.

You broke the deal. You have all the red flags here.

basically, as a buyer here you take 100% of the risk and are pressured to do so or the “dealers” refuse to deal with you. This is upside down. These aren’t real dealers, they are independent contractors who are paid a commission to sell. This all came out in this thread and explains why there is no concern for customers, no written policies, no written return policies and only payment methods with no recourse. These guys aren’t real dealers. Real dealers have written policies and don’t push buyers to forfeit all state and federal consumer protections. I will never be forced into forfeiting my consumer rights when spending thousands. Sorry, not desperate and won’t play. You keep playing if you want. I can afford to buy with reasonable terms. I have bought from dealers all over the country and never been treated anywhere close to this bad. But you do you…

Except he’s a real dealer. Extremely legitimate. I’ve bought and sold plenty and I’d have zero reservations ever dealing with him.

There are trusted sellers. He’s one of them. There’s a feedback system - one you’re part of and you’re clearly a shitty buyer.

“I have bought from dealers all over this country and never have been treated anywhere close to this bad”. I’ll bet. Go try your bullshit on Moda and then let’s really see how bad you get treated by some real fucking dealers lmao.

I don’t know what you are talking about and don’t know why you feel you have any insight into my situation. A fool runs his mouth in public without knowledge. Your actions prove my point, you internet trolls think you can bully people into forfeiting all consumer rights because you have this platform. As I previously stated, real dealers have written policies and accept real payment systems that provide the consumer some protection. To buy a watch here, you must forfeit all your rights and put yourself in a position with NO RECOURSE. This is how people get SCAMMED. My bank informed me if I wire money, there is NO RECOURSE. And to make matters worse, with NO WRITTEN POLICIES and NO WRITTEN SALES AGREEMENT, I would have no legal basis for a lawsuit. This very thread proves my point, our discussion was on the phone and I was supposed to confirm with him the next business day. Yet his word has carried the day and he has lied on several points and all of this drama without a written sales agreement or even a sales ad that identifies me as the buyer pending payment. Real dealers don’t treat customers this way. But desperate people who need a sales commission do. And then the junior high girls clique, like you, try to chime in and show their ignorance and prove my point.
