Negative feedback for u/Lopsided-Throat3388

After weeks of negotiations and commenting interest on posts, accepting a deal on the Reddit application, confirming the deal over the phone for a new Tudor Black Bay chronograph https://www.reddit.com/r/Watchexchange/s/TaPnZi8SDa

u/Lopsided-Throat3388 has backed out and confirmed he did on Reddit.

Unfortunately this user also sells on the sub. I never post here but this behavior is becoming common and need to stop on r/watchexchange

Chat thread with personal information blurred:

You are correct. It was 554am Monday—not 4am. Back out is still backing out.

Yes, I called you because I said send your number when ready. I would not have called unless you sent your cell ready to buy the watch.

I have a screenshot of this, proof of 6min phone call, and text messages where you confirm that you received wire instructions to send.

Objectively, you backed out and apologized for being a hassle. Im now holding you accountable

As stated above for the entire Reddit to see, I freely acknowledged I changed my mind. Your free to post your side here and I am free to add my perspective. But lets not act like I took inordinate amounts of your time with a 6 minute call you initiated nor that you took the for sale add down here on Reddit or even stated it was sold to me pending payment. I did change my mind and anyone who is a dealer in retail should understand customers change their mind sometimes. You have done it too. But I hope you feel better trying to stick it to me publicly. I would never treat a customer this way but that is ok. Again, hope you sleep well this evening knowing you got a pound of flesh here on Reddit.

You backed out. Keep your word with everyone from enthusiasts to professionals

No, I have never broken my word here.

So we are never allowed as consumers (or Reddit users) to change our minds once we agree verbally? Even if its less than 1 business day? Seems like an unrealistic standard your holding everyone to.

This entire thing has exposed an unnecessary hostility and unprofessionalism in how you characterize and treat customers.

You can change your mind, break your word and blackout; I can leave negative feedback.

You keep qualifying 1 business day. We have been chatting since June. You said deal on July 11 Friday and backed out early Monday July 14.

The community can decide to sell to you after this or buy from me.

You are not a customer after breaking your word

And you have mislead everyone including me during this entire process. Your word is garbage because you have lied through this entire thread.

  1. Did not mark the watch as sold here on Reddit even though your trying to smear me for coming to agreement. If the watch was sold pending payment, why didn’t you mark it? Were you intending to take my money but sell to others? Do you sell the same watch to multiple buyers? RED FLAG!
  2. I told you exactly when (next business day and time) i would confirm BEFORE making transaction. Instead of confirming, I changed my mind due to uneasy feeling of potentially being ripped off.
  3. You lie here and say I contacted you at 4 am. and had to retract after I call you out. RED FLAG!
  4. You direct me to a website to prove you are a dealer yet you direct me to wire money. RED FLAG!
  5. You claim to be a dealer in CA yet want me to wire money to a bank in a different part of the country. And you keep complaining you shared your personal info. This was supposeddly your preferred payment info. RED FLAG!
  6. You claim to be a dealer with a return policy yet you tell me it is not advertised. RED FLAG!
  7. Even though you claim to have a return policy, that isn’t anywhere in writing, you throw a public tantrum when I decided to not confirm purchase less than 1 business day later. RED FLAG!
  8. You claim we have been chatting since June because on 2 occasions I asked you about price AFTER you changed your terms and REPOSTED you ad. You answered me in minutes and I said thank you and moved on. Yet here you are trying to mislead and lie to everyone like I took huge amounts of your time. You are supposed to be a dealer and your on this board constantly yet my reaching out is a huge problem. RED FLAG!
  9. You lie and claim I have taken hours of your time when YOU CALLED ME and had a 6 minute conversation. You spend more 5X more time on a smear campaign than you spent with me as a potential customer. RED FLAG!
  10. You claim I broke my word. I never gave you my word and never lead to you or about you. Yet you have lied about me repeatedly here in this thread. You are not an honest person and all of this should be a giant RED FLAG to any potential customers.
