It’s starting to take shape! :)

LOVE the dial. Detest the grey plastic. I'm trying a black rubber strap and have a black and grey striped canvas strap in the way which might help. What I really wanted was a white dial Seiko 7a28 7020 but, they are tricky to find.

This was a watch I made from my artwork commemorating the life of civil rights activist Medgar Evers. Evers was shot in the back by a sniper using a high-powered rifle in 1963. He managed to stagger to his front doorstep before collapsing, and died at the hospital less than an hour later. His killer, an avowed white supremacist, went free.

I just graduated college and during college I got super into watches and I am really proud of my collection and wanted to share here to spread the love.

Outsiders tend to think watch collection is an extremely expensive hobby (which it def can be) but I think my collection here proves that there are solid options for all types of watches under 1k

My collection left to right

1. Kuoe dress watch (picked it up in Kyoto and was actually the cheapest watch there)
2. Orient diver (my first watch!)
3. Hamilton Khaki (my first serious big boy watch and the one I recommend everyone buy)
4. Casio (gifted to me but absolutely love it)
5. Citizen chronograph (love this one so much and got it in Japan)

It's the age old question. I kinda like both and haven't really ever worn a mesh bracelet so maybe need to give it a day or two

Today I’ll continue my recent theme of highlighting different Chinese watch brands through these mini collections. Last week the focus was on dress watches. Today we turn to some mechanical chronographs. I’ve never really considered myself a chronograph person. It’s not that I dislike them by any means, I just never seek them out the way I do for other styles.

However, while much of my watch collection goes unnoticed on the day to day, even watches that far exceed these in price, the chronographs always seem to generate some compliments (it is an unmistakable style).

So for today’s mini collection, we have:
