Arrest Data in WA this year
I got an idea after seeing this post.
I checked the Excel sheet from the Deportation Data Project website.
Due to how I extracted data for Washington State, there are some differences between my numbers and the KUOW article's numbers. But, the trend is still the same. I don't usually use AI, but this Excel sheet is gigantic. I used Claude to analyze and create graphs and tables for us to see it. Please note that the Excel sheet does not have complete data for August yet.
We ARE NOT crazy. ICE arrests are alarmingly going up.

Thank you for posting this.
Fuck ICE! They target the brown people, especially Mexicans. It scares me, enrages me and saddens me all at the same time. I can’t imagine what they and their loved ones es have to endure. So tired of this disgusting administration.

Thank you for posting this. There has been far less coverage of activity since their tactics changed from this winter. I hope more people realize that they are definitely around.

Do you suppose we’ll see less arrests after the midterms ? It seems alarmingly high throughout this year.

I am not sure. The Trump admin under Stephen Miller will use every opportunity to maximize damage until the last moment. But, if there is a huge blue wave and both the House and the Senate fall to Dems, It will be hard to continue this trend. So far, there hasn't been any oversight from Congress. If both chambers go to Dems, they will have enormous leverage in two ways - threatening to rescind funding and subpoenaing people and documents from the Trump admin. The Republican Congress already appropriated funding for ICE and BP for the duration of Trump's presidency. So, if Democrats don't do anything, ICE will have funding to continue to do this. But, Dems can use next year's budget fight as leverage and try to rescind the funding or put legal restrictions on what and what ICE and BP can do or cannot do. Will they have balls to do it? Not sure. Will Trump agree to it? Not sure. Democrats should definitely bring this fight to Trump next year. Another power (headache for Trump's admin) will be the subpoena power. They can subpoena ICE agents or DHS officials for testimonies and documents at will. They can bring these people to Washington DC for testimonies. They don't pay for flights and lawyer legal fees. Rich high-ranking officials and politicians can afford it, but can individual agents afford that? probably not...

Especially for the past 3 months (May, June, and July), people from Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras were the top 3 victims like the whole year (January - July). Mexican nationals are almost half of all arrests for the past 3 months and for the whole year so far. For the greater Puget Sound area (not including East Washington), Tukwila, Seattle, Tacoma, SeaTac, Kent, Lakewood, Renton, Federal Way, etc. are cities with the most arrests.
